چکیده
Abstract The insecticides of microbial origin may be promising biocontrol agents to control pests. In this study, a major metabolite was extracted and purified from Serratia marcescens KH-001 identified as prodigiosin with molecule weight 324.2094, our primary aim evaluate the effects against Diaphorina citri Kuwayama (Hemiptera: Liviidae) in laboratory field. Toxicity nymphs increased increasing temperature 25 35°C. experiment results observed inhibition at LC50 on oviposition egg hatch D. 30°C. Furthermore, adults that fed citrus leaves treated LC20 solution 30°C excreted less honeydew (28–35%) compared controls, suggesting moderate antifeedant activity prodigiosin. field showed 10% emulsifiable concentrate exhibited better efficacy (70–100%) three concentrations (100, 200, 500 mg/liter) July August than October. These data indicate will highly effective compound for depending prevailing conditions become commercially available product widely used orchards.

Characterization of the Asian Citrus Psyllid Transcriptome
The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama (Hemiptera: Psyllidae) is a vector for the causative agents of Huanglongbing, which threatens citrus production worldwide. This study reports and discusses the first D. citri transcriptomes, encompassing the three main life stages of D. citri, egg, nymph and adult. The transcriptomes were annotated using Gene Ontology (GO) and insecticide-rela...
متن کاملInduced resistance against the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri, by β-aminobutyric acid in citrus.
β-Aminobutyric acid (BABA) is known to induce resistance to microbial pathogens, nematodes and insects in several host plant/pest systems. The present study was undertaken to determine whether a similar effect of BABA occurred against the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, in citrus. A 25 mM drench application of BABA significantly reduced the number of eggs/plant as compared with...
متن کاملAsian Citrus Psyllid RNAi Pathway – RNAi evidence
Diaphorina citri, known as the Asian citrus psyllid, is an important pest of citrus because it transmits a phloem-limited bacteria strongly implicated in huanglongbing (citrus greening disease). Emerging biotechnologies, such as RNA interference, could provide a new sustainable and environmentally friendly strategy for the management of this pest. In this study, genome and functional analysis w...
متن کاملWavelength and Polarization Affect Phototaxis of the Asian Citrus Psyllid
The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama (Hemiptera: Liviidae), is a primary pest of citrus due to its status as a vector of the citrus disease, huanglongbing. We evaluated the effects of light of specific wavelength and polarization on phototactic behavior of D. citri using a horizontal bioassay arena. Wavelength-associated positive phototaxis was associated with short wavelength UV...
متن کاملRepellent Activity of Botanical Oils against Asian Citrus Psyllid, Diaphorina citri (Hemiptera: Liviidae)
The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, is the insect vector of the pathogen causing huanglongbing. We selected three botanical oils to evaluate behavioral activity against D. citri. In laboratory olfactometer assays, fir oil was repellent to D. citri females, while litsea and citronella oils elicited no response from D. citri females. In choice settling experiments, D. citri settl...
